Side Project Inc. is proud to announce the success of their Tail-GREAT event, which was held at PNC Park on July 13. Tail-GREAT is an annual tailgate party that is now in its eighth year. The event brings together hundreds of attendees from around the country, to celebrate the spirit of community and giving, while enjoying a uniquely Pittsburgh atmosphere. All of the proceeds are donated to local charities.
This year’s Tail-GREAT generated over $5000 through ticket sales and generous donations provided by the event’s 500-plus attendees. This money will be donated to Western Pennsylvania nonprofits, including Steps to Independence, the Animal Rescue League, Community Living and Support Services, and St. James Church. These funds will be able to help thousands of individuals and families here in our own community. With the success of this year’s edition, the total funds raised at the Tail-GREAT exceed $10,000, all of which has been donated to Western Pennsylvania charities and non-profits.
Tail-GREAT is organized by Side Project Inc., a nonprofit corporation dedicated to supporting charitable and philanthropic efforts large and small. Tail-GREAT is the brainchild of Adam Causgrove, Director of Community Outreach at Side Project Inc., a non-profit which was founded by President and CEO, Jeff Fromknecht. It provides legal and professional services to socially-minded people and organizations. For more information, please visit: www.sideprojectinc.org. The Tail-GREAT event is staffed entirely by Side Project Inc. volunteers, and is sponsored through the support of some local businesses and non-profits. This year some of our sponsors include Straub Brewery (www.straubbeer.com), PortaBeer (www.portabeer.com) , and Community Living and Support Services (www.classcommunity.org). We here at Side Project Inc. are already looking forward to next year’s Tail-GREAT event and we hope you are, too.
