The greatest fundraising event in the history of mankind is back and better than ever! July 13th, 2013 will be the date for Tail-Great v. 8.0. As in years past, festivities will kick off at 04:00PM and go until 07:00PM. The game is a 07:05PM start and will feature your battling Buccos versus the Metropolitans of New York.
Everything raised will go to local Pittsburgh charities, with our main beneficiaries being Steps to Independence and the Animal Rescue League.
We are going to mix things up a bit this year with the hope that it maximizes everyone’s enjoyment of the event. For the first time ever we are offering different packages for attending. We will be selling tickets to the Tail-Great, and to the Tail-Great WITH a Pirate Ticket. So if you don’t want to go to the game, then by all means, just join us for food and drinks and maybe an early start on the after party (TBD).
We are also going to put together the event at cost to keep the price to our guests at a minimum. We are actively reaching out to donors and sponsors to help us achieve this goal, and we are excited to offer a much larger pool of raffles and prizes this year already.
The face value of tickets to the game have increased dramatically over the last few years (tripled since our first year), and will be sold at face value for $15.
This is a Fireworks Night 
and ABSOLUTELY WILL sell out (just like the Tail-Great!). We have a block of ~200 tickets to the game, and they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
Also, prices for the Tail-Great will be going up each month which means if there are still tickets available on June 1st, we will be raising prices to maximize charitable donations (as well as July 1st). However, we expect tickets to be sold out early!

So you are unable to attend this year’s Tail-Great, but you’re still a wonderful person? We know and we look forward to seeing you next year! Steps to Independence is a Pittsburgh-based institution that works with students aged 2 – 21 to help build independence and functional motor skills. The Tail-Great crew is excited to be working with Steps to Independence for the third year!

Animal Rescue League of Western PA is an open-door shelter established in 1910. Their open-door policy means no animal is ever turned away. The Animal Rescue League is an amazing and welcoming Pittsburgh institution and we are excited to contribute to the great things going on at Hamilton Avenue!
